Sarah Elizabeth Spivey, 23, of Greensboro, passed away on April 29, 2026, at her home, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and love that will be deeply cherished by all who knew her. Born on December 11, 2002, in Athens, Sarah was the beloved daughter of Jerry Allen (“Ja”) and Melinda Mullins Spivey. Her passing at such a young age has brought profound sorrow to her family, friends, and community.
Sarah was widely known for her passion for caring for others, a calling she embraced through her work as a nurse. She approached her profession with empathy, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of her patients. Those who worked alongside her often spoke of her gentle nature and her ability to bring comfort and reassurance to those in her care. Nursing was more than a career for Sarah—it was a reflection of her compassionate spirit.
In addition to her work in healthcare, Sarah expressed her creativity through her business, Spivey Jewelry & Fashion. Her handcrafted jewelry pieces reflected her artistic eye and unique sense of style. Through her designs, she shared a part of herself with others, creating meaningful items that were both personal and beautiful. Her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity brought joy to those who supported her work.
Sarah’s family was at the center of her life. She is survived by her loving parents, her brothers Luke and Daniel, and an extended network of relatives including Glenn and Candi (Spivey) Young and family, Cadley and Sadie Spivey and family, Frances (Mullins) Garrison and children, Karen Mullins and children, Darrell and Suzanne Mullins and children, Greg and Juanita (Mullins) Pendley, Jeff and Jamie Mullins, and many cousins who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jerry Allen and Vivian Spivey of Douglas, Lester Eugene (L.E.) and Patricia Lee Mullins of Mansfield, and her uncles Leslie Wayne Mullins of Rutledge and Arthur Wayne Garrison of Bostwick.
Sarah will be honored with a Celebration of Life service on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Lakeside Church at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon reception where loved ones can gather to share memories and support one another. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Though her life was tragically short, Sarah Elizabeth Spivey’s impact will endure through the lives she touched, the care she gave, and the creativity she shared. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
